This year’s Worcestershire Martial Arts Annual Awards brought the community together to celebrate the dedication, talent, and perseverance of our students and instructors. The awards recognise exceptional achievements, progress, and contributions to the school throughout the year. Here’s a rundown of this year’s winners:
Competitors of the Year
Our competitors have shone brightly, showcasing their skills in competitions throughout the year. Points were amassed through their medal-winning performances, with the following individuals standing out:
• Pre-Junior Competitor of the Year: Ben Starkey
• Junior Competitor of the Year: Robert Vizitiu
• Adult Competitor of the Year: Valentin Vizitiu
Their commitment to training and competitive success has been an inspiration to all.
Tiny Taekwon-Do Best Effort
Our youngest stars, full of energy and determination, have shown us the true spirit of Taekwon-Do. This year’s awards for Best Effort go to:
• Siraaj Munir
His enthusiasm and hard work are a joy to witness.
Most Improved Student
Growth and progress are at the heart of what we do, and this year, Flynn Lane-Griffin has demonstrated remarkable improvement. Flynn’s dedication to refining his skills is a testament to what can be achieved with consistent effort.
Student of the Year
The title of Student of the Year is awarded to someone who embodies the values of Worcestershire Martial Arts through exceptional dedication and positive attitude. This year, that honour goes to Karen Crawford. Her commitment to training and support of her peers have made her an integral part of our community.
Instructor of the Year
The strength of any martial arts school lies in its instructors. This year, we celebrate Rois Perkins for her outstanding contribution to the Tiny Kwon-Do class as the groups longest standing helper.
Black Belt Award
In November this year, Lisa Perkins successfully graded for her 3rd Dan and was recognised for her skill, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Taekwon-Do.
Congratulations to all our award winners! Your achievements serve as a beacon of inspiration for our entire martial arts community.
Here’s to another year of growth, success, and the continued pursuit of martial arts excellence at Worcestershire Martial Arts.
